This model ensures a minimum number of efforts (in man-hours), the infrastructure and office setup, for a minimum agreed number of hours per month, which are billed. An example could be making two resources and the required infrastructure (like a 24x7 high speed internet connection, support and back office services, 365x24 help-desk) available for web design and development for 200 hours a month. If the client uses the resources for upto 200 hours, it pays for 200 hours at the agreed rate – on a monthly basis. For extra efforts – exceeding 200 hours, separate invoice is raised at an agreed rate. This arrangement makes agreed number of resources as well as facilities “available” for use.

The RAIS model ensures that client has a team (and hence a certain minimum number of man-hours) and a 24x7 infrastructure dedicated to it for a certain period (depending on agreement). Stringent service level norms will be incorporated in the agreement to ensure that TMT provides the desired service levels (including back-up resources at no extra costs) at all times.
